ULHS NJROTC Precision Rifle Team Wins 2nd at Area 12 Championships; qualifies for Navy Nationals

The Upson Lee NJROTC Precision Rifle Team participated in the Area 12 Championships on Saturday, Jan. 26, in Anniston, Alabama. The team shot a combined score of 2,281 points and captured 2nd place honors. Upson-Lee’s Rosemary Kramer finished in 1st place as the Area 12 Individual Champion, winning the gold medal with a total score of 683 points. With this stellar performance at the Area Championships, the team qualified for the Navy and Marine Corp JROTC Nationals to be held Feb. 21-23, 2013 in Anniston, Alabama. The ULHS NJROTC Precision Rifle Team is coached by Petty Officer Chuck Meyerriecks.
