All throughout the state there are local favorite restaurants that stand out from the rest and have the ability to attract customers from over 100 miles away just to sample their delicious cuisine. Now, thanks to grant money provided to the Presidential Pathways travel region (of which Upson County is a part) by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Thomaston’s own Piggie Park Barbeque will be featured in a commercial highlighting great places to eat throughout the region which will hopefully encourage visitors to come and check out what there is to offer in our community. The film crew was in town last Tuesday, April 16, filming at the drive-in and several local citizens may show up in the final cut. Pictured left to right in the photo, owner David Pasley, Linda Pasley, Grace Pasley, Bo Pasley, Becca Pasley and Joel Pasley are being interviewed by members of the Georgia Economic Development. The 2-minute spot will be split between Piggie Park and three other restaurants: The Farm House in Ellerslie, Four Winds in Cusseta and Pat’s Fish Camp in Vienna and will air during the entire month of June for the Atlanta morning news market.
