Can’t wait to see IRON MAN 3, but don’t want to have to travel to other towns to do so? Never fear, The Ritz Theatre is here! The Ritz is pleased to announce that IRON MAN 3 will open at The Ritz this Friday, May 3, with a 7 p.m. show time.
Some movie studios are still making a limited number of 35mm film prints of certain movies for a few more months until digital copies only will be available. The Ritz Theatre has been closed for the past few weeks as no suitable 35mm film prints were available. This will become more prevalent until The Ritz can change to an all-digital projection system.
Fund raising started more than a year ago to raise the necessary $75,000 needed, and while progress is being made, the needed funds have not yet been found. Every time you go to The Ritz, you are helping to keep the historic theatre open. There are several ways to “invest” in the future of The Ritz; just ask any theatre or UC3 member. Direct donations or donations through the UC3 non-profit community group are welcome.
The summer blockbuster movies are starting this Friday with IRON MAN 3 and, with your help, most of the other major films in coming months will be able to be shown at The Ritz. Remember, admission is still a bargain at $6. For daily information and updates, please call 706-647-7022.
