Thomaston native Peyton Hoyal participated in the Peachtree road Race in Atlanta on July 4. Hoyal ran the 10K (6.2 mile) race in a time of 32.33, finishing 45th overall and finishing fifth among runners from Georgia. Over 60,000 people ran in the annual road race.
