Funeral services for Ms. Sylvia Ann Ivey, 52, of Yatesville, were held Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at 12 noon at Log Town Bethel Church Ministries with the Rev. C.W. Dumas officiating, assisted by the Revs. D'Meke Colbert, John Matthews, Hope Smith, J.C. Scott, Daniel Fagan. Burial followed in the Worthy Cemetery.

Ms. Ivey died Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Trice Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Ivey was a lifelong resident of Upson County. She was active in the Latern House and the Thomaston-Upson County Senior Center Group.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Mary Lee Ivey of Yatesville; brothers, Mr. Henry (Christine) Ivey Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. William (Catherine) Ivey of the Salem Community, Mr. Aubrey (Mary Ann) Ivey of Yatesville and Mr. Ervin Ivey of Thomaston; sisters, Mrs. Corene (Harvey) Henderson of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Bobbie Walker of Yatesville, Mrs. Claudette (Albert) Fagan of the Salem Community and Ms. Dorothy Ivey of Thomaston; an aunt, Mrs. Lizzie Lue Ivey of Roberta; a sister-in-law, Susie Mae Ivey of Thomaston; a very devoted niece, Ms. Sharolyn Short of Thomaston; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
