South Wins Runoff

The results are in and Anthony South has been chosen as the democratic candidate for District Three in the Upson County Commissioner race.

South will face republican candidate Kevin Brown in November.

“I'm thankful for all my friends and those who have helped me,” South said Tuesday night. “I plan to work hard all the way through. November isn't far away, so I can't stop now.

“This isn't just a win for me, but a win for the district I hope to represent. I hope that voters will again turnout in November to support me.”

South received 358 votes while opponent Joel Pitts, the incumbent, received 189 votes. Following is a breakdown of votes according to district:
