The Thomaston-Upson Emergency Management Agency announced Wednesday that due to problems that have occurred, a number of the warning sirens will be out of service until repairs can be made and testing conducted. Depending on the nature of the repairs needed, the sirens may remain out of service for four to six weeks.

The sirens that are located on West Thompson Street at North Green Street, Holstun Drive at Triune Mill Road, U. S. 19 North at East County Road, and Georgia Highway 36 East at the former Yamaha Parkway are the sirens that are out of service at this time.
