Upson County Sheriff Chief Deputy Dan Kilgore released the following statement Friday afternoon:

On Friday, October 12, 2012, a bomb threat was discovered written on the wall of the 9th grade boys restroom at Upson-Lee High School. The threat read “Bomb in school goes off at 1:30.” Deputies were dispatched to the school and an investigation was conducted. Joshua Donovan Medley, 17, a student at Upson-Lee, was arrested and charged with Transmitting a False Public Alarm, a felony under Georgia law. He was taken to the Upson County Jail and bond was set at $1000.

A similar bomb threat made earlier this month is still under investigation.
