Memorial services for Mr. Richard Laurence Crider Sr., 80, of Slayden Drive, were held Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Baptist Church, with Father Brian Davy officating.
Mr. Crider died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at his residence.
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Crider was a native of Bronx, N.Y. He was a former resident of McRae and Griffin, and had lived in Thomaston since 1970. He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Crider was a graduate of Georgia Tech and worked as a textile engineer for B.F. Goodrich in Thomaston and Crompton Highland Mills in Griffin. He was also a farmer. Mr. Crider was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church in Griffin.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Hunt Crider of Thomaston; a daughter, Anna Crider Gore of Thomaston; a son, Richard L. Crider Jr. of Thomaston; a sister, Nancy Maloy of McRae; and grandsons, Hunter Gore and Ben Gore, both of Thomaston.
