THOMASTON - Mrs. Joyce Adair Salter, age 71, of Thomaston, Ga., died March 10, 2013 at LJpson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Salter was born on December 4, 1941 in Thomaston, Ga., to the late Herskin and Ore Lee Adair. She was a member of Zions Chapel Methodist Church. Mrs. Salter was employed with Riverside Nursing Center for 23 years and was employed at the William Carter Company for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Robert Vincent Salter.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Marian Vickie (Randall) Coogler of Thomaston, Ga.; sons, Mr. Kalon Lee Knight of Thomaston, Ga., Mr. Don William Knight of Thomaston, Ga., Mr. John (Joann) Conrad Knight of Thomaston, Ga.; brother, Mr. Charles (Claudia) Adair of Thomaston, Ga.; sister, Mrs. Lawana Teal of Auburndale, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. from First Assembly of God. The family will receive friends at Coggins Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Local Cancer Car C/O Mr. Carey Pitts at 300 Upson Ave, Thomaston, GA 30286.
