Mrs. Elizabeth Tucker Brooks, 91, formerly of 300 Jackson Ave., Thomaston, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Providence Health and Rehab.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Brooks were held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11 a. m., in Upson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Wright officiating.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Reynolds, Ga., a daughter of the late Edgar Buford Tucker and Neomia Bell Tucker. She had been employed as a seamstress with the William Carter Company and later as a greeter at Walmart.

Mrs. Brooks loved traveling with the Thomaston Travelers.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Rebecca Clark and a granddaughter, Becky Ledbetter.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Barbara Brooks of Thomaston; a brother, John L. (Carol) Tucker of Thomaston; six grandchildren, Christy Tucker of Cataula, Jimmy McIntyre and Bobby Clark, both of Thomaston, Dewayne McIntyre of Jackson, Ken Brooks of Griffin and Karen Mills of Macon; and 11 great grandchildren.
