Three people were arrested on drug charges when agents from the Narcotics Task Force simultaneously executed two search warrants at apartments in the area of 109 West County Road, Thomaston at approximately 3 p.m., Monday, July 20.

In the apartment of Josh Howard and a female resident, agents executed a search warrant for MDMA (ecstasy) and recovered over a half pound of marijuana, 38 MDMA (ecstasy) pills and $2,000 cash, according to Agent Andrew Pippin.

Howard was not in the residence at the time of the search, but he was apprehended at a nearby car wash.

Agents confiscated Howard’s Mercedes Benz automobile as well as $672 cash he had on his person at the time of his arrest, Pippin said.

Howard was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of MDMA (ecstasy) with intent to distribute. The female resident was not charged.

In the apartment of Romon Zorn and Shazika Holt (6-E), Pippin said agents executed a search warrant for marijuana and recovered from the pocket of a coat located in a closet one and one half ounces of marijuana, 11 individual baggies containing pre-weighed marijuana, weighing scales and a Davis Industries 32 caliber handgun. Both Zorn and Holt were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a handgun during the commission of a crime.
