Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Mae Walker Brown, formerly of Thomaston, were held Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at noon, at the Antioch Baptist Church. Burial followed in the College Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, in Atlanta.
Murray Brothers Funeral Home of Atlanta was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Brown was reared in Thomaston, Ga., and educated in the public school system. She later moved to Atlanta, and was a faithful member of the Antioch Baptist Church North under the leadership of the Rev. Cameron Alexander. She was an active member of the Eastern Star Lodge and many other organizations.
Survivors include her husband, Lonnie Brown of Atlanta; daughter, Mary Clark Walker Robinson of Atlanta; grandchildren, Secundra and Joseph Robinson, both of Atlanta; a sister, Martha Walker Stewart of New York, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
