STOCKBRIDGE – Mr. Bennie C. Childs, age 85, formerly of Thomaston, who resided in Stockbridge, passed away on Tuesday, Februaryt 26, 2013 at the Lake City Rehab Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. from the Mary Lizzie Baptist Church. Interment followed in Southview Cemetery.
Mr. Childs is survived by seven children: Charlie Childs and Joe (Nina) Childs of Dayton, Ohio, Henry (Vivian) Childs of Warner Robins, Ga., Bob (Cheryl) Childs of Dearborn, Mich., Kim (Lisa) Childs of Seattle, Wash., Mattie Childs (David) Roussaw of Jonesboro, Ga., Elaine Childs (Hime) Hambrick of Stockbridge, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; sisters: Mattie Susie Trice and Annie L. Mahone of Thomaston; a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Bentley’s and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of all professional services.
