Flint River Academy Cheerleaders had a great experience at Cheer Camp and especially enjoyed getting to meet and work with their new sponsor, Mrs. Melissa Whitley. Coach Whitley said the squad was a great group of girls that she is excited to work with as the routines they did in competition at camp were all routines they had come up with on their own before she began to work with them and the girls showed a flair for cheering as well as initiative and creativity.

The other squads at camp voted the FRA girls the coveted “Herkie Award” which is for the nicest, most welcoming and helpful cheerleaders. The FRA ladies were the first squad to bring home the Spirit Stick Award. They also competed in “Game Day” competition and earned a Technical Excellence in Motions evaluation.
The 2014 squad is made up of seniors-Carly Adamson, Kirsten Smith, and Natalie Dunnahoo; juniors-Abby Porter, Megan Ward, Lilly Lowry, and Handley Davis; sophomores-Caroline Beall, Shaina Lemke, and Lanie Overton; and freshmen-Ivie Hausman, Zollie Moreland, Autumn Ruff, Julia Hawkins, Jamie Grubb, and Chyanne Stephens.
