The USSSA 8U travel baseball team the Upson Outlaws proudly show the silver rings they won at last weekend's tournament in Senoia. They finished 2nd out of 12 teams after playing two games Saturday and 3 games Sunday. On Saturday the Upson Outlaws crushed the Senoia Red Sox 13-1 and bested Home Plate Baseball 8-0. They came back Sunday to defeat the Peachtree City Bats 6-5 and the Home Plate Chili Dogs 7-2. Those four wins qualified the Upson Outlaws for the Championship game against the Foundation A's. It was a hard fought game for the tired Outlaws, with a lot of offensive action. The A's ended up on top with a score of 13-11. Head Coach Chris Callahan remarked, “I couldn't be prouder of this young team, playing in just their 4th tournament. They have a strong work ethic and tight team bond, they get better each tournament.
