All female rifle team among the best in the nation

SubmittedOn February 14-16, the Upson Lee NJROTC Rifle Team went to Anniston, Alabama as the representatives for Area 12, to participate in the JROTC Navy National Championship. Over a two-day competition, the team shot a total combined score of 4,577 points out of a possible 4,800 points, which resulted in the team finishing in 1st place. Rosemary Kramer finished 1st as an individual with a blistering combined score of 1180 points out of 1200, leaving a 16 point margin between herself and the second place individual. The team is awaiting the results of a couple of teams in the North Region to see if they win the entire Navy National Championship, however with their 1st place win this weekend, the team will be traveling to Camp Perry, Ohio next month to compete in the All Service National Championship which is comprised of the top 5 overall best teams within each branch of the JROTC Program to include Navy, Army, Air Force and Marine Corp JROTC's.
