Last Tuesday, Flint River Academy played host to their division rivals, the Piedmont Cougars. The girls and boys both earned nine-point victories.


The Lady Cats built an early 12-3 lead after the first quarter, and were able to keep the lead throughout, winning 35-26.


The Boys also led after the first quarter, but were outscored 22-12 in the second. The Cougars and Wildcats saw many lead changes in the second half, and the game was tied going in to the fourth. Flint River went on to dominate the final frame and earned a 63-54 victory.


The top scorers in the girls game were Meghan Gregg with 17 and Courtney King with 7. The boys were led by Jay Adams, also with 17. Adams, Seth Short, Nathan Strickland, Lane Law and Dalton Johnson each went over 10 points in the contest.
