The Upson-Lee NJROTC Rifle Team faced off with Northside-Columbus High School last week and after the match both teams finished with a team score of 1,143. However, in the tie breaker, Upson-Lee totaled 61 center 10’s on their targets, compared to 54 for Northside, giving Upson-Lee the victory. Rosemary Kramer was the high shooter of the match with a score of 292, followed closely by Shannon Tyssen with a 289. Alyssa Hanson and Miranda Baxley each totaled scores of 281 in the match. Upson-Lee’s victory was the first time Northside had lost at home in nearly 10 years. The Knights are currently 3-0 on the season with victories over Central-Talbotton and Harris County.
