The Flint River Daylight Masonic Lodge and the Morningstar Masonic Lodge, both located in the same building on North Church Street next to Thomaston Meat Market, have two special events coming up on Saturday, September 6. The Flint River Daylight Masonic Lodge will have its regular first Saturday of the month pancake breakfast, and the same day, the Morningstar Masonic Lodge will hold its annual Barbeque Chick-n-Que Dinner. It is your chance to get both breakfast and lunch (or dinner) in one place.
The Flint River Daylight Masonic Lodge will hold its monthly pancake breakfast this Saturday, Sept. 6, between 8 and 11 a.m. Donations are accepted to support local charities. The main thing is you’re invited to breakfast. Great pancakes, hometown sausage, coffee, juice, with a bunch of friendly people waiting on you.
Your donations are deposited in a fund and allocated as local needs are identified and approved. We are now building a scholarship fund for a deserving local high school senior attending college.
The Masonic Lodge is on North Church Street next to the Thomaston Meat Market. Look for the building with all the American flags flying.
Hey, you’re going to eat anyway. Why not eat a great pancake and sausage breakfast and help out local folks who need it?
Morningstar Masonic Lodge will hold its annual Barbequed Chick-n-Que Dinner at the Masonic Lodge between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 6. Last year they served over 700 delicious meals, which include half a BBQ chicken, bread, slaw, baked beans and chips.
Plates are $10, and tickets may be purchased in advance from a mason, or at the door. You may dine in or carry out your meals. The lodge is located on North Church Street beside Thomaston Meat Market.
