While firefighting and fishing are normally handled by adults, kids can have fun with them, too. In the left photo, at a display of the Thomaston Fire Department’s equipment at West Central Georgia Bank last Saturday, a little boy named Trent tried on a set of firefighting turnout gear with the help of Thomaston firefighter Daniel Ransom. As you can see, he has a few years left to grow into them. In the right photos, Levi Warrenton shows the results of his labor at the fishing pond, holding up a string of fish. Last Saturday was Kids Day at the pond, with numerous children and parents turning out for the fun day. The winners of the Fishing Day were announced Wednesday afternoon and will be in Tuesday’s edition of The Thomaston Times.
