Jamar Anderson, whose age was unknown, was arrested Monday evening in the area of Tamarack Drive after allegedly committing a drive-by shooting in the 800 block of Whitesville Road.
Sgt. Marshall McCoy with the LaGrange Police Department reported that Anderson was driving past a location on Whitesville Road when he allegedly shot at subjects over an ongoing dispute. In the midst of the shooting, two innocent bystanders in their car also were shot at.
McCoy said there were no injuries.
Police responded and receive a car description from witnesses. They located the car on Glenn Robertson Street after which Anderson fled to Tamarack Drive, jumped out of the car and threw his pistol in a wooded area according to McCoy.
After Anderson fled on foot, police apprehended him.
McCoy said the nature of the ongoing dispute is being investigated.
Anderson was booked in the Troup County Jail last night and is facing two counts of aggravated assault charges.
