Through their plants in Molena and Zebulon, Tencate Protective Fabrics was able to collect over $1,500 worth of toys for the Toys for Tots program this year. The idea to collect toys came from employee Sandra Barfield around Thanksgiving as a way to give something back to the community. Barfield noted both plants were working consistently and there were many in the community that are not able to do so, therefore she made the suggestion to help out those in need and everyone jumped on board. Between the two plants there are roughly 225 employees. Raak Patel (second from left) and Dean Aggers (second from right) of the Marine Corps Reserve, Detachment 1196, were on hand Monday, December 16 to pick up the toys to take to the distribution center.
