EASLEY—An Easley man is in custody accused of running naked through a neighborhood, peeping in windows and breaking into a home Sunday morning.
Police say residents near McAlister Lakes Drive reported seeing a naked man running through a yard, peeping through windows, climbing fences and breaking into a house at around 7 a.m.
The suspect, 30-year-old Charles Norman Trebuchon is charged with indcent exposure, burglary, petit larceny, eavesdropping/peeping, grand larceny, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
A witness reported seeing Trebuchon streaking through their backyard at around 7 a.m.
Shortly thereafter, another local resident reported spotting Trebuchon trying to climb their fence at around 7:25 a.m.
When the resident yelled for Trebuchon to leave the property, the suspect jumped down off the fence, “exposing his private parts,” and saying “yes sir,” according to police reports. Trebuchon ran away from the residence, authorities said.
At around 7:30 a.m., police responded to another sighting of the naked male at 205 Le Ann Drive in Easley. According to police, Trebuchon entered the residence and stole a blue coat. An elderly woman inside the residence was “hysterical,” police reports said.
Trebuchon is also accused of getting into a 1998 blue Jeep Cherokee at 304 Robinall Drive and driving toward Ginger Lane and Powdersville Road. Authorities learned later the Jeep had been stolen from the residence on Robinall Drive.
Police said, a short time later, the naked suspect jumped out of the car and ran to a nearby wooded area.
Trebuchon fled to his residence at 1117 McAlister Road, where he hid under a bed from police, according to the police documents, whcih added he was apprehended after a struggle at his home.
