ULMS Knights can’t hold lead, fall 12-11 to Monroe

On Friday the Knights traveled to Forsyth to take on the Bulldogs from Monroe County Middle School. After defeating Monroe by a 6-1 score earlier in the season, the Knights dropped their record to 4-4 with a 12-11 loss last week. The Knights had a five-run lead headed into the bottom of the seventh inning, but Monroe exploded for six runs to defeat the Knights. Tripp Greer led the Knights with four hits, two RBI, and three runs scored. Trace Park added two hits, two RBI, and four runs, while Tanner Crews added a hit and three RBI, and Seth Huckaby chipped in with a hit and run scored in the loss.
