Upson County Sheriff’s Deputy Justin Hammock was selected as the Upson County Employee of the Month for December 2013. Sheriff Dan Kilgore had the following to say about Hammock: “I am pleased Justin Hammock has been selected as the Upson County Employee of the Month for December 2013. Justin was hired as a jail officer on February 11, 2008. After proving himself as an exceptional employee in the jail, Justin was selected to attend the Georgia Police Academy. Deputy Hammock graduated and was appointed Deputy Sheriff on June 29, 2010. Since that time, he has performed his duties efficiently and proved himself as a very confident and effective Deputy Sheriff. Deputy Hammock meets the public well and proudly serves the community in which he resides. He has the uncommon ability to perform his duties as a law enforcement officer and still retain the respect of those affected by his actions. It is a privilege for me to have him serve the people of Upson County as a Deputy Sheriff. I commend you on the job you do and thank you very much.” Deputy Hammock (right) is shown receiving his award with Sheriff Dan Kilgore and Upson County Manager Jim Wheeless.
